While some of the team are on vacation and Maik just started his new job, we are a bit late with our updates. But one of our inhouse-filmers (Matthias von Gostomski) worked hard in the last couple weeks to generate one of the best edits since the foundation of rollTogether. It is good to work together with such a hard-working and ambitious guy. Because our fotographer just went on his well-deserved vacation, we need some more time to provide you with the pictures of the rollTogether #11-session. Stay tuned. For now watch this outstanding edit of a unique Rollerblading-weekend in Switzerland!

Thanks to our good friend Claudio Antonelli from Luzern we can give you a really nice view on the rollTogether #11-session. Claudio made himself a name in the past year through his unique filming style on both - skating and life - at the same time. Claudio is working as a media designer for a multimedia-company in Zurich. The camera he is using is kind of a self construction: Instead of using an usual film camera he is using a Nikon D90 Body with a selfassembled rig. You can see his specific camera here. This thing he created is wild and the outcome you can see below is even wilder. For the rollTogether-team it was a pleasure to meet you and thanks for this edit which gives us a really good taste of the madness that went down 10 days ago. Here we go:

RollTogether #11 took place last sunday in switzerland. It was another big and international meeting of rollerbladers from all around the place. Before you can see the official pictures, edits and the write up, you will get the some important results of the session: - Gregory Polony from Zurich won the title of this session's Rookie of the Day. - Ramon Wüst from Amriswil got the wildcard because we are sure that he will do great on the next MTG-Competition. - Etienne Vogel from Wuppertal won the "Best Trick Award" with a massive 360 transfer from the big bowl in the small bowl!  Check back the site within the next weeks. We will present all the exclusive footage and a small report here on this site!

- rollTogether

First of all, we would like to apologize for this late follow-up report of the rollTogether #10-session. And then second, we really want to thank every single Fruitbooter coming out for the last session.

Of course, we expected a great day and of course we expected a big session, but what then happened in Amersfoort, just exceeded all our expectations:

  • Petrus himself blessed us all with high degrees and beautiful sunshine
  • Amateurs (some of them you might have never heard about before) ripped it so hard that they can’t be seen as amateurs anymore
  • Some „older“ guys proved that skating-skills don’t depend on the age, but more on the physical shape and the devotion towards Rollerblading
  • People don’t mind to take long journeys to be part of the rollTogether-sessions
  • Pro-Skaters bladed shoulder to shoulder with the amateurs
  • All sponsors gave the support we need
  • More than 400 happy Rollerbladers showed that Rollerblading is back in the game and that we are on the right track

Hey there, here you can find our first official rollTogether-edit (created by Matthias von Gostomski). This edit is a masterstroke which couldn't communicate the special feeling and atmosphere of a rollTogether better as in this edit. Make sure to check back on this site as there is another goosebumps-edit on his way to you next week. The second official edit will be done by the man himself "Tom Fratzak". But for now, sit back, relax and watch this beautiful piece of art:
