Hello beloved rollerbladers,2008-06-28-rolltogether2_142 Germany did not become Euro-Champion but RTS reached another level: Rollerbladers from so many different places came for our second round! It was incredible! The session was kinda funny because we had actually three sessions in one: First session before the rain, second session during the rain and third session after the rain! See what happened exactly: I started off with my girlfriend at 9am, heading to Moenchengladbach to pick up some more rollerbladers. At the train station we met up with Lars (Photographer) who also picked up rollerbladers there. I think we continued driving at 10am - straight towards Muenster with two cars.2008-06-28-rolltogether2_020 For us, Muenster is a 90 minute car drive - nothing compared to other guys that came from Karlsruhe, Göttingen or even Hamburg. At this time, the sky was very cloudy - almost typical for RTS. During our car drive clouds came up, disappeared for a while, came back and so forth. But we kept driving with a lot of hope!2008-06-28-rolltogether2_090 We arrived at the Skatepark in Muenster around noon and my first impression was like "Wow what a sweet creative skatepark". In the second moment I saw already thirty rollerbladers ripping the park hard - one hour before our session should start! I put on my skates and started skating this park with them. It was so much fun! More and more people came and the park got really busy within the next hour. Some people were skating the mini, some were skating the rail and some others tried hard one of the twenty ledges! The level of skating was already very high.2008-06-28-rolltogether2_169 I did not dare to look up at the sky but after the first rain drops and the darkness that came over the skatepark, everybody knew that we had to stop skating for a moment! At this time I think we were 60-70 rollerbladers! All of them gathered under the roofed place. It was a good chance to see who came for the session: Most of them were new to me but I also saw some familiar faces - even some german legends (Sven Schillings, Benny Petry, Matthias Peterka and Guido Rosenkranz). During the rain was pouring against our faces we decided to bring the session into Muenster's skaters palace (indoor-park).2008-06-28-rolltogether2_179 Even though the park doesn't have the best reputation we should at least try to skate a bit there. The owner of the park was surprised to see 60 rollerbladers in front of his park. Fortunately I could negotiate the price of entry with him. Everybody had to pay 2,50€ which was nice from him! Thanks man. Ten minutes later the rollerbladers took over the park!!! Some of them went to the mini upstairs. Jo from Karlsruhe showed some awesome technical switch-ups: Inspin torqueslide to soul to something else! Downstairs people started skating the marple ledge and some crazy tricks went down there! Benny Petry did a fullcap truespin miszou, Schichy from Bielefeld showed a crazy 360 royales! Some younger kids from cologne skated the ledge hard as well.2008-06-28-rolltogether2_205 This blond guy (sorry cant remember your name) got our first GH-rollTogether-Shirt. Suddenly Guido Rosenkranz showed up - and as usual he ripped the park with full speed! One trick was remarkable: He took speed from the one end of the park and skated full speed towards the quarter at the other side of the park and did a m2008-06-28-rolltogether2_218assive alley-oop WALLRIDE 180 off. Everybody clapped his hands! The funniest thing was: After ten minutes of skating the rain stopped outside and the sun showed up! After an hour of skating indoor and handing out some GH-Shirts we went back to the outdoor-park.2008-06-28-rolltogether2_245 When I got back to the park I guess there were nearly 100 rollerbladers there. NOW the session started with its finest part: In the first ten minutes I saw so many hard and amazing tricks! Tim from Bielefeld grinded the drop ledge with fullspeed backside royale! He also did a 720 over the huge grindbox and huge transfer grind! Schichy were killing the rail with amazing spin tricks!2008-06-28-rolltogether2_220 So I grabbed Renés camera and tried to film all the skaters! Within 10 or 15 Minutes I got ten good clips from ten different skaters. Starlight Express' actor "Guido" showed some amazing nice lines in the park. Roland Wander showed his creativity on a special spot: From the bank he grinded the ledge with a soul and transferred onto another ledge with an alley-oop soul! Really good stuff. And there is this Benny Petry: This guy is amazing on curbs. On the second try he laced a 360 soul to truespin top soul!2008-06-28-rolltogether2_225 There were so many different mindblowing tricks and skaters at this day! I can't name all of you. I think we handed out 18 GH-Shirts and two Chimera-Shirts. I did not want to hand out so many at this day - but the skating level was just too high. At the End of the day we organized a "best trick-competition" on a ledge. The guy with best trick should get some brand new Chimera "Colin Kelso"-Wheels. Tim from Hildesheim won this little competition - not because he ripped off his shirt and showed us his divine body - but for his 360 sweatstance on the ledge.2008-06-28-rolltogether2 Jo from Karlsruh and Patrick "J" Smith had their own special competition on the drop-rail next to the mini! Both of them did a royale on the drop-rail which is insane. Jo from Karlsruhe got some GH-Wheels because he did a crazy disaster on the rail! Too much for me but good for our photographer... Guys I really have to thank you for an awesome day. I have to thank once again Grindhouse and Chimera for their support. Without them "RTS" would not be what it is right now! Thanks guys!2008-06-28-rolltogether2_248 Here is the edit:
